Renewed 2024–2026

A reading loft, not a showroom.

The heart of the loft is now an oak bookcase reaching up into the atrium, with a reading corner beside it. New mezzanines, airco, sound in every room, blinds on every window, plants and a green sofa made the 2009 concrete warm enough to live in, and better to shoot in.

Featured in architecture magazines, on Belgian TV and in the German crime series Professor T.

The black-painted 19th-century facade on Lange Leemstraat

The building

A 19th-century facade, a 2009 loft behind it

Behind the black townhouse front on Lange Leemstraat, the building was rebuilt in 2009 into two lofts. Rentaloft is the upper one: the whole first floor and above, with its own entrance code.

  • Tram 4 stops at the door
  • Berchem station 1 km, Central 1.8 km
  • Zurenborg cafés 5 minutes on foot
  • ’t Groen Kwartier park behind the terraces

A home, rented on selected dates

We live here. That is why the loft is spotless, and why a few rules are not negotiable.

  • No parties, ever. No visitors on overnight stays.
  • Quiet from 22:00. We share the building with neighbours.
  • Minimum 2 nights, maximum 6 guests.
  • 1st floor, no lift. Codes sent before arrival.
